In the first half of the year, 1.103 million new energy vehicles were newly registered, an increase of 774,000 compared with the same period of last year, an increase of 234.92%, a record high. The new registration of new energy vehicles accounts for 7.80% of the new registration of automobiles.

There are 74 cities in China with more than 1 million vehicles, an increase of 5 cities, 33 cities with more than 2 million vehicles and 18 cities with more than 3 million vehicles. In the first half of 2021, the number of newly licensed drivers in China was 13.9 million, an increase of 6.62 million or 90.93% compared with the same period of last year. Among them, there were 16.57 million drivers over 60 years old, an increase of 2.33 million or 16.36% compared with the same period of last year.

In order to do a good job in the prevention and control of normalized epidemic situation, local public security traffic control departments continue to vigorously promote the online operation of 31 traffic control services. Online vehicle and driver’s license business was handled 44.45 million times, a year-on-year increase of 92.99%.
