"Post-60s" Doctors Riding in Tibet with their beloved wives: Poetry and distance are no longer regrets.

BEIJING, Taizhou, August 7 (Reporter Fan Yubin correspondent Luan charming) It is the dream of many people to travel to Tibet and feel the beauty of the snowy plateau. Recently, Zhang Qichu, a "post-60s" doctor in Jiaojiang District, Taizhou City, Zhejiang Province, rode in Tibet with his beloved wife Chen Zhaoling for more than 4,000 kilometers in 11 days. He completed his dream by means of motorcycle travel.

In 1989, Zhang Qichu, a retired military doctor, opened a health center and set up a general clinic in Resolute Village, Sanjia Street, Jiaojiang, Taizhou. In the next 30 years, in this 200-square-meter health center, Zhang Qichu and his wife had a clear division of labor and tacit cooperation.

Since they got married in 1990, because there are many patients coming and going in the health center, they need to open the door for consultation every day, even on holidays. Just like this, Zhang Qichu’s "poetry and distance" has been put on hold for more than ten years because of his busy work.

In July this year, Zhang Qichu and his wife put on their motorcycle suits and helmets, drove a Honda 500 motorcycle and took three pieces of luggage, and started a motorcycle trip to Tibet.

From Taizhou to Lhasa, it passes through Jiujiang in Jiangxi, Yueyang in Hunan, Qianjiang in Chongqing, Batang in Sichuan and other places. This is the route planning of the Sichuan-Tibet line for Zhang Qichu and his wife. "In fact, this road is quite difficult to walk." Chen Zhaoling, Zhang Qichu’s wife, said, "I get up at 7 o’clock every morning and start riding. Because I want to stop at low altitude, sometimes I ride until 8 or 9 o’clock in the evening."

"In fact, many people asked me why I didn’t stop it, but I knew it was his dream." When talking about why he chose to ride the Sichuan-Tibet line by motorcycle, Chen Zhaoling revealed that her husband often watched other people’s motorcycle journey through TV and the Internet, and said that he also wanted to try it very much.

"Blue sky, white clouds, this is a Tibetan feeling." Zhang Qichu told reporters that he loves riding motorcycles on weekdays and has a special liking for Tibet.

In Chen Zhaoling’s view, "I won’t let him go, but he will still go." In order to help her husband realize his dream, Chen Zhaoling has been supporting and encouraging him with companionship. This time, the couple made up their minds to close the clinic and prepare to leave. "This is our first trip by motorcycle."

The Sichuan-Tibet Highway starts from Chengdu in the east and ends in Lhasa in the west, with a total length of more than 2,400 kilometers. The road from Zuogong to Basu is the only way to Tibet. However, due to the continuous rain, the debris flow collapsed, and the road surface was very muddy, and there were potholes everywhere. It was only a few kilometers, but they rode for five hours. Chen Zhaoling said, "At that time, many motorcycles fell when they passed here. We also fell down several times, thanks to everyone helping each other. "

Because of the poor road conditions, Zhang Qichu and his wife encountered the problem of tire rims being damaged during riding. Zhang Qichu recalled that fortunately, he brought a pump at that time, but because the road section he rode at that time was far away from the county and city, he could only insist on riding by constantly pumping up the tires. Once every few hours, they inflated and moved forward, which lasted for 2 days. Finally, they arrived at the repair station of Zuogong County Station for maintenance.

During this 11-day motorcycle trip, Zhang Qichu and his wife packed clothes, food, oxygen, tools and medicines in their accompanying boxes. Out of professional habits, I took medicine with me in case of emergency, but I didn’t expect to start the "all-way treatment" mode.

In Zuogong County, Sichuan Province, Zhang Qichu and his wife met a Xi ‘an traveler who rode a motorcycle to Tibet, and saw him sitting at the intersection of a small village with a painful expression. "We immediately got off the bus and asked, and later learned that he had a calf fracture." Zhang Qichu, who has more than 30 years of medical experience, immediately went forward to carefully check the diagnosis and took out the bandage from the medicine box he carried with him for fixation.

"We are running a clinic. No matter where we are, it is common practice to cure diseases and save people." Zhang Qichu said, "I didn’t expect to treat people on the road, and I am very pleased." Counting the trip, Zhang Qichu and his wife helped four or five people, including patients with altitude sickness, fracture, toothache and nosebleeds.

The destination is not the destination, but the scenery along the road is precious. These experiences are also the best harvest for Zhang Qichu and his wife.

"We are always paying attention, and we can rest assured as long as we see the news of their circle of friends every day." A few days ago, Mr. and Mrs. Zhang Qichu successfully completed this motorcycle ride. When they returned home, their neighbors came to show their concern.

Chen Zhaoling said that before the couple made up their minds to go out, they didn’t tell their relatives and friends, but just explained a few words to their son and set off. "On the one hand, I am afraid that everyone will worry and won’t let us take such risks; On the other hand, we also want to make up our minds for this dream of more than ten years without any burden. "

"When you really take action, you know the hardships of the road, all kinds of difficulties and all kinds of accidents, but you have to continue to persist when you have arrived here. This is perseverance and determination." Now, the dream of more than ten years has finally come true, and Zhang Qichu is extremely proud. He said, "I plan to travel twice a year in the future to see the outside world and realize those unfinished dreams."

"Unload your luggage, unload all the dust and return to life. This trip is worthwhile!" Chen Zhaoling is so emotional.
